The Bob Potts Heritage Rail Trail Marathon

   
             
    Mr Bob Potts was a founding member of the York Road Runners Club, a group of 400 runners in South Central Pennsylvania. As a well respected runner in the York area, Bob participated in over 30 marathons in his life, including Boston and New York. Two years ago while competing in a triathlon in New Jersey, Bob tragically passed away.  
   
             
             
             
             
   
 

To honor "Pottsy" the running community and Potts' friends and family are preparing to hold the First Annual Bob Potts Heritage Rail Trail Marathon in York, PA on May 31, 2009. The marathon will benefit our community, local business, the Heritage Rail Trail and will distribute scholarship funds to a Cross Country Senior in York County.
